Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 11/22/2011 - 12:37. I am currently a home inspector wanting to expand my business into energy audits. After looking at the BPI and RESNET classes it seems like RESNET is more technical and therefore more useful to me. What are the benefits of the BPI class? And when will the next RESNET class be coming to WA or OR?
Submitted by tealb on Tue, 11/22/2011 - 14:11. Thank you for these great questions. BPI and RESNET are both fantastic courses. While BPI is generally more suited for existing construction, RESNET HERS Rater training is primarily used for new construction. The RESNET course might be considered slightly more technical because of the use of some computer software. Although at the time of this post we do not have a RESNET course in WA or OR, we do have a BPI class in Seattle from November 28 to December 2.

We currently offer HERS training in several locations. I recommend you check our HERS course schedule to see what we have available. Should you prefer training in Tulsa, please call us to discuss in house training.
Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 04/16/2011 - 18:58. The upper Mid-West really need HERS training here. The closest training site is over 3 hours away. We probably use more energy than anyone else in the country, but it's so hard to get the training in this region. Why is that?

Our training locations are based on demand in the area, so as we have not had enough demand in Cleveland for RESNET training, we have not scheduled training there. We are always looking for markets though, so if you have a group of 6 or more professionals interested in RESNET training, please call us at 800 460 2575 to discuess in-house training in Ohio.
