Hi, I'm thinking about weatherization training. Does your class give my some kind of thing, like a diploma or something? Is it just a piece of paper from everblue, or is it some kind of thing that the government or state requires- like a contractor's license or something? Thanks.

    John,
If you complete the weatherization training you would be well position to take both the RESNET and the BPI Energy auditor written and field exams.  In fact, if you are looking for an official, nationally recognized certification, I would recommend the BPI Building  Analyst Training.

I just wanted to say that I am currently enrolled in a weatherization and BPI training class in manhattan, NY. It is really good information and really reduces the costs of utility bills. I think everyone capable of taking these classes should. It is the future. I will leave you with this. How would you like to open your own Going Green business? You can do it with these courses. I will receive five certificates when I pass. DO IT!

What is the difference between the Envelope specialty and the Weatherization specialty?

Weatherization vs. Envelope

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Wed, 08/17/2011 - 15:22.
Hello and thank you for your question.

The BPI Envelope specialty works well in conjunction with the BPI Building Analyst as it adds more depth to an energy audit (more focus on duct leakages and the home's outer core). The BPI weatherization course is a very hands on class that shows students how to retrofit the home by using various techniques such as dense-pack insulation.

    Thank you,
    Bana
