Preparing for an Everblue Webinar

Programs Required

• Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.5 or higher*

Before your webinar
The program that the webinar is held on is called Elluminate. They have resources readily available for students to get comfortable with the webinar interface. We highly encourage you explore these materials before the webinar!

On the day of the webinar
• Arrive about 20 minutes early to get familiar with the interface.
• Make sure to have a good internet connection. You can use any form of internet, whether it be dial up or wireless, just as long as it is reliable.  This will prevent "lagging" during the presentation. Surfing the net and having other windows open will increase the chances of a lagging presentation.
• Make sure your speakers are working well and are on before the session.
• You will not need a microphone, only speakers.

• After your first webinar, you will receive access to your practice questions found on your Everblue account. After the webinar series is through, you will receive your certificate of completion via email.
  
   

*More Java information: On a Macintosh, Java is pre-installed and automatically updated. For
the other operating systems, you will need to download it from the Elluminate Support
website (http://www.elluminate.com/support) or the Sun Microsystems website
(http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp) and install it. Installation of the Java Runtime Environment is a one-time process that does not need to be repeated. The download can take up to 40 minutes on a 28.8K modem (or less depending on the speed of your Internet connection). Please ensure that you allow sufficient time to complete the download and installation before your first session.
