Job Title: Home Performance Advisor

Location: Woburn, MA

Description: The Home Performance Advisor role focuses on conducting an in home assessment. In order to be successful in this role you will be responsible for educating the home owner on the benefits and cost savings of home energy efficiency improvements. Home Performance Advisors will be responsible for creating self-generate leads through networking and referrals. Leads are also provided through various marketing avenues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to develop marketing generated leads to closing sales
  • Ability to create leads through referrals and networking
  • Provide excellent customer service to potential clients
  • Promote business objectives in volume, quality, product and customer mix
  • Ability to accurately record and report sales data in provided equipment
  • Ability to take an informative sales approach with potential clients

Experience & Education:

  • Residential weatherization knowledge preferred
  • BPI Certifications preferred
  • 1-3+ years of sales experience preferred
  • Customer Service experience preferred
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with laptop and/or tablet PC
  • Proficiency with software applications such as MS Office
  • Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving record
  • Local Travel required for this position

Job Title: Energy Efficiency Auditor, Auditor, Building Performance Analyst

Description: A field-based position predominately working with customers in their homes to determine the appropriate scope of energy efficiency home improvement work and educating homeowners as to the benefits of energy saving measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough in-home technical assessment
  • Identify all potential energy efficiency home improvement opportunities
  • Complete diagnostic testing as related to overall building performance and mechanical systems
  • Conduct a comprehensive Health & Safety inspection
  • Deliver accurate, detailed paperwork
  • Explain the features and benefits of home energy efficiency improvements
  • Proactively establish and maintain positive internal and external working relationships

Requirements:

  • High personal motivation and desire to succeed as demonstrated by self-confidence and professional commitment
  • BPI Building Analyst Certification Preferred
  • Real Home Analyzer (RHA) data entry experience (preferred)
  • Personal hand tools including cordless drill
  • Focus on all aspects of customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Must be familiar with laptop and portable tablet computers
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen

Job Title: Energy Specialist

Company: The Center for EcoTechnology (CET) provides home energy ratings diagnostic testing, and ENERGY STAR home certification for builders and remodelers. www.cetonline.org

Location: This is a full-time salaried plus commission position with benefits located principally in the Pioneer Valley. However, travel throughout Western Massachusetts is required.

Description: The Center for EcoTechnology helps people in Massachusetts and neighboring states save energy and reduce waste in their homes and businesses. Responsibilities:

  • Conducting residential energy assessments
  • Conducting combustion safety tests
  • Installing energy saving measures such as light bulbs and faucet aerators, low flow showerheads
  • Identifying technical barriers to installing weatherization measures
  • Performing 3 or more assessments or inspections per day
  • Selling air sealing and insulation measures to homeowners
  • Follow up sales
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Meeting or exceeding CET sales expectations
  • Meeting or exceeding CET expectations for installing energy savings measures (particularly light bulbs) in homes
  • Thorough, accurate, and timely completion of all paperwork and data entry

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience working in field related to energy efficiency
  • BPI Building Analyst certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • Strong math / geometry / communication / computer / sales skills
  • Ability to pass drug test, driving and background check
  • Reliable, hardworking, trustworthy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to learn and perform a variety of diagnostic tests
  • Use of a reliable vehicle and ability to transport materials
  • Must possess valid Massachusetts driver’s license
  • Passion for the environment and community involvement
  • Tuesday – Saturday required
