Requirements for LEED Green Associate

LEED Green Associates must complete 15 continuing education hours, three of which must be LEED-specific.

• 15 CE hours, 3 of which must be LEED-specific
• Follow current green building practices
• Fall into one of the eight accepted CE categories

Requirements for LEED Accredited Professional with Specialty

LEED Accredited Professionals with Specialty must complete 30 continuing education hours, six of which must be LEED-specific.

• 30 CE hours, 6 of which must be LEED-specific
• Follow current green building practices
• Fall into one of the eight accepted CE categories based on the specialty

For those with more than one specialty, you must maintain each specialty by:

• Selecting a primary specialty for which the candidate will complete the majority of CE hours;
• Complete 30 CE hours, including 6 LEED-specific, for the primary specialty; and
• Complete 6 LEED-specific CE hours for each additional specialty

Everblue offers two programs for LEED AP with Specialty. The first option is geared for those that are former Legacy LEED professionals that upgraded to a specialty and need to complete the prescriptive 30-hour program. This course would also be beneficial for a LEED AP with Specialty that has a renewal deadline prior to October 2012 - the course is LEED CMP 1.0. The second option is geared toward those LEED AP with Specialty professionals that have already completed their first LEED CMP renewal cycle - the course is LEED CMP 2.0.
