Verification of USGBC Acceptance

Is this single 15-hr. course approved by GBCI to meet the requirements of the LEED credential maintenance program (CMP) for Green Associates? I just want to be sure before spending $299.00, and then investing the many hours on-line to complete the course.

Verification of USGBC Acceptance

    Hi Daniel,

We are approved by the USGBC to offer this CMP course to fulfill your required 15 hours of training. You can find this course in the USGBC course catalogue.

LEED specific?

  • Submitted by Michael Darab (not verified) on Tue, 06/28/2011 - 15:02.
Does this course also include the 3 LEED specific credits required? Second question, if my hours are due in May of 2012 will there be enough time to complete this course?

LEED specific?

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Fri, 07/22/2011 - 07:31.
    Hello Michael,

Everblue's LEED Credential Maintenance Program is completely online, anytime. Once registered for the course, you will log into your Everblue account and access the course which contains 8 modules on various LEED topics with on-demand videos and a short quiz that will mark your attendance. Basically you can complete this program as fast or as slow as you want since the videos/quizzes are available 24 hours a day.
This course has been approved by the GBCI and includes the 3 LEED Specific hours. Everblue even offers a step by step guide to help you enter the specific course information that the GBCI will ask you to complete through their online portal.

    Thank you,
    Bana

According to the GBCI CMP

  • Submitted by TY (not verified) on Tue, 07/05/2011 - 16:16.
According to the GBCI CMP guild, only maximum 5 CE hours for on-line self-study hours can be reported to my Green Association CMP. Could you explain how your CMP package could meet all 15 CE hours of my credential maintenance requirements? Also, could you direct me to your full list of the courses you offer in CMP package in this website? Thanks, TY

According to the GBCI CMP

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Fri, 07/22/2011 - 07:41.
    Hello,

The program is fully approved by the USGBC/GBCI as a package training course. It is not a self-study program but an interactive educational course. Self-study would be more applicable to reading a magazine article or a book. I have Cc’d my colleague, our LEED CMP program manager, who will send you the list of course modules in the program.

Overall, we have made this the simplest and most engaging way to maintain or upgrade your LEED AP status.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions,

    Bana

CMP for LEED GA

  • Submitted by james e. clark (not verified) on Tue, 07/05/2011 - 18:58.
I wish you had more detailed information on your course. Do you just watch one class ? Several classes ? How many credit hours is a class(s) worth ? How long is the test ? Is it multiple choice ? Can I take the class(s) anytime of day or night ? Once I do the online class(s) and take the test do you mail or email my cert to me. Or both. What if I dont pass the test. Can I take the class(s) over ? My deadline for CMP is fast approaching so I have so I have less than 25 days to complete this. will I run into a time crunch getting my cert to USGBC

CMP for LEED GA

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Fri, 07/22/2011 - 07:44.
    James,

Hello. The course is worth the full 15 Hours for LEED Green Associates and it is reported as one certificate. The program is broken down into 1-2 hour modules with a 5-15 question quiz at the end of each module. Once you complete each quiz, your certificate will be immediately available in your account. If you don't pass on any quiz, you can retry immediately.

The program is meant to be as simple and as engaging as possible for you to maintain your LEED credential.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if you need assistance with registration.

    Thank you,
    Bana

CEM

Do these credits apply towards CEM CEU's as well?

CEM

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Fri, 07/22/2011 - 08:19.
    Hello George,

These modules can count for CEM as long as you are able to self submit them.

    Thank you,
    Bana

CMP

Only ERB approved activity is allowed for LEED specific webinars, I suppose your package is ERB approved.

I earned 2 points out of the 15 required for green associate. Do you have any package where I would be able to get the remaining 13 points - with 3 LEED specific points?

CMP

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Wed, 08/17/2011 - 15:26.
Hello Joyce and thank you for your question,

ERB approved is having our program pre-approved by the GBCI. Our Green Associate CMP program would contain all the hours needed including the 3 LEED Specific hours and this program is an ERB Approved Program. Therefore, you can use this for your CMP hours.

    Thanks,
    Bana

CMP Due Date

  • Submitted by Lyan (not verified) on Tue, 08/16/2011 - 11:36.
Hello, I have a LEED GA credential valid until July 2012. How prior to that date should I apply for the CMP? Does the credential extends 2 more years from July 2012 (until July 2014) or from the date I finish the online CMP? Thank you.

CMP Due Date

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Wed, 08/17/2011 - 14:43.
As a LEED Green Associate, you have 2 years to complete your 15 CMP CE hours, with 3 of those hours being LEED Specific, the rest of the hours can be categorized as General.

Everblue's LEED Green Associate CMP program is available to begin at any time as the program is set up with on-demand videos and short quizzes.

Since the GBCI via the US Green Build Council is responsible for this credential, they designate the rules as to credentialing time period. You have to complete your hours that you plan to report within the timeframe of your credentialing period. Once that credentialing period of two years is over, it will be another two years (therefore, four years from the time you passed your GA exam) to complete your next 15 hours.

    Thank you,
    Bana

Other CE credits

  • Submitted by Molly Scott (not verified) on Mon, 08/22/2011 - 09:48.
Thinking about signing up for the LEED CMP course, but I wondered if these hours would be able to transfer for Landscape Architecture continuing education as well? With 15 hours from LEED and 16 hours from CLARB I have a lot of webinars to watch! :) Thanks, Molly

Other CE credits

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Mon, 08/22/2011 - 13:14.
    Hi Molly,

Our LEED CMP Green Associate program is approved by many organizations using CEUs. You will want to contact your particular association to find out if a program that is not pre-approved and offers CEU's is acceptable.

    Thank you,
    Bana

Why CALGREEN?

  • Submitted by Anita_Bui_Yu_Chen on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 01:06.
How is CalGreen relevant to me? I realize that this is all very interesting and that other states may move in this direction in the years to come, but why am I paying $299 to learn about a California regulation when I rather be learning more about LEED for those two hours?

Why CALGREEN?

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 09:34.
Hello Anita and thank you for your question.

CalGreen is a fantastic example of how sustainbility measures are being implemented by the government. This session is very much related to LEED and sustainable design and construction, which is why the GBCI approved this course for our CMP package.

    Thank you,
    Bana

Software for Videos

  • Submitted by Carl_Oaks on Tue, 10/11/2011 - 14:11.
What software is required for the videos to come up?

Software for Videos

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Wed, 10/19/2011 - 12:45.
    Hi Carl!

To answer your question regarding what kind of software you need to access our videos, you simply need to have internet access using an updated browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome) and then verify that you have updated Java and Adobe Flash. These are all free downloadable software’s that computers typically use on a daily basis.

Please note that some company computers have very strong firewalls that do not allow video streaming, we find home computers and internet have less issues for that reason.

We have a Solution Center for quick links to the above software I reference above.

    Thank you,
    Bana

Hours Needed

  • Submitted by Michele (not verified) on Mon, 10/17/2011 - 15:33.
I have to get 13 hours to be recertified and my co-worker needs to get 18 hours. Can you give me information on a course that we can take online or webinars that we can take any time of the day. Thank you!

Hours Needed

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Wed, 10/19/2011 - 13:00.
Hello Michele and thank you for your question.

I am assuming you are referring to LEED CMP requirements. If you are a LEED AP, you will need to take our 30-hour pack to receive CMP credits. If you are a LEED GA, you will need to take the 15-hour pack. See Everblue's LEED CMP page to learn more.

    Thank you,
    Bana
