200 out of 200 on the LEED Exam
I would like to say that the exam questions I purchased were excellent prep - I took my exam on Sunday and scored 200 - 100% throughout! I was stunned, and pleased of course- but I really feel that whilst your prep was tough it certainly helped me in my endeavours - they prompted me to read the questions thoroughly, as well as each answer and think about reasons behind each possibility to allow me to eliminate wrong answers methodically. I shall certainly be buying the AP equivalent materials when I start studying for this, and have already been recommending your material to colleagues who are on the same track.

Make sure you go through all of the practice exams and on each question don't just get the right answer and move on. You should spend time understanding why each of the wrong answers are wrong. This will help your overall understanding of the subject matter and make you much more successful on test day.

If I have worked on an LEED project, what documentation needs to be provided to get the training certification so I can take the exam? Also, is there a way to gain the training certification without having to pay for the training courses?

Hi Jarred,
Your will need a letter from the project manage of the LEED certified project to verify your participation. You then upload this certificate to the GBCI to register for the LEED Green Associate exam.
This letter is technically all you need to take the exam, so you are not required to take a class. But we would strongly recommend taking an exam prep course considering all of the information covered by the exam. Having experience on a LEED project will not necessarily help you learn all of the LEED regulations.

Yes, you are correct. If you do not have LEED experience, you are required to take a LEED Green Associate exam prep course. Everblue provides this LEED Green Associate exam prep class that includes live instruction, course materials, and all the study material you need to prepare for the exam.

These study materials prepare you VERY well for the LEED Green Associate exam. I got almost a perfect score my first attempt! Materials for "Project Surroundings and Public Outreach"
Failed my first LEED exam, got really low in the category of "Project Surroundings and Public Outreach". Where can I find the review material, or how can I improve?
Materials for "Project Surroundings and Public Outreach"
Questions on the LEED Green Associate exam are assigned to one of seven categories. During the exam, you can't tell which categories the questions are assigned to. Also, you don’t find out at the end of the test which questions you get right or wrong. However, you do find out what percentage of questions in each of the seven categories that you got correct to help you determine your strengths and weaknesses.
Since the 100 questions on the exam are not necessarily evenly distributed between the seven categories, sometimes the percentage results that you see at the end can be somewhat deceiving. For example, if there were 3 questions in the Project Surroundings and Public Outreach category and you got one of them wrong then it would show "67%" at the end of your test. That's not a great number, but it's also deceptive because it represents one question that you got wrong.
To see all seven categories and the material covered by each you can visit the LEED Green Associate Candidate Handbook on page 10 and 11. Project Surroundings and Public Outreach is the category with the shortest description. All that it says is, "Codes (e.g. Building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire protection)."

Prep course for non-US citizens
I am a 33 years old italian registered architect. I'd be interested in getting at first a LEED GA and, afterwards, a LEED AP and I'd like to take part in a Live Preparation Course in US during my next stay (scheduled for this fall). Then, may I simply apply online for one of your next Preparation Courses in Manhattan (or New Brunswick) or is there any complication or further requirements for non-US Citizens ? You can simply register online to save your seat in an upcoming class. The best place to start is our Manhattan course page or our New Brunswick course page to select a suitable date. Once you have picked a date, hit “register now” to pay for your course online. Once you are registered, you are notified via email of course details such as location and directions. There are no complications for taking the exam as a non-US citizen.

To get the best training possible, I would recommend LEED Green Associate online training. This online course allows you to attend an Everblue class in real time. You can interact with an Everblue instructor and other students from all over the world! Included in this course is an online course manual and study sheets, as well as 90 days access of 500 practice questions. Should you prefer on-demand training (it will not be interactive but will allow you to do training whenever you wish), you will have 90 days access to this as well.
