I see location dates for 5 days but three days for online. Are these intor test, and test? Doesn't show in description.

Hello Will and thank you for your question.

The online training cannot include field training and exams (which must be proctored). This is why the online training is shorter. It is important to consider that when weighing out options as you will still at some point be required to attend live feild training and proctored examination to recieve your certification.

    Thank you,
    Bana

Smart buildings

  • Submitted by John Small Fridge (not verified) on Thu, 08/11/2011 - 23:35.
This is an exciting field when in the context of designs for new buildings where clever methods are employed to minimise the buildings "energy footprint", and to balance its impact on the surrounding area. One of the really interesting things being done is more and more roof gardens both for foliage but also for produce. One enterprising man in Chicago has set up Bee Hives on several buildings and it is a surprise to some that he is doing very well. It is exciting that we are breathing life into some of these monolithic structures.

Hello Julia and thank you for your question.

We use two references for our Commercial Energy Management training. The first is ASHRAE Procedures for Commercial Building Energy Audits (Levels I, II, and III) and the second is ASTM E2797 – 11, Standard Practice for Building Energy Performance Assessment for a Building Involved in a Real Estate Transaction.

BEAP certification vs. Everblue

  • Submitted by Thinking Green (not verified) on Tue, 11/15/2011 - 10:30.
Quick question, what is the difference between Everu blue training for Energy Managers and auditors and ASHRAE's certification of BEAP? Will someone going through Everblue's training be prepared to take the Building Energy Assessment Professional Certification (BEAP)?

Professional Energy Manager Certification

  • Submitted by chris6 on Tue, 11/15/2011 - 13:04.
Hi Brea, Our energy manager course is aligned with ASHRAE's the BEAP exam's detailed content outline, but our class is not a BEAP preparation course. Instead, students have an opportunity to earn the Professional Energy Manager credential at the completion of the course. Thanks, Chris
