Wind Energy Safety Training

  • Submitted by Everblue on Mon, 02/08/2010 - 09:36.
     Steven,
We do provide the safety basics as part of our wind training course.  However, the safety aspects we teach are very basic and cover most professionals involved in the design, construction, and installation processes.  For wind turbine maintenance technicians complete, we would recommend a more in depth height safety training course.

I'm a civil engineer with experience in the transportation area. Luckily for my passion for the environment and new trends, my company has started to move into Green Energy, especifically Wind Energy. I would like to know what the course you offer would impact my professional background in this area. This is a formal class with some type of certification? I would also like to know when there would be available classes near my area: Washington,DC and/or Baltimore, MD. I will appreciate your answer. Thank you.

I think this has already been answered for me; however...

Knowing nothing AT ALL about any of this stuff, can a person get the job easily if the company says "complete training"?

    Hello Misty,

Everblue plans to offer a certification in conjunction with our wind training, so when a student applies for a job they can have a credible certification on thier resume. This should make them a more appealing candidate for employers.

    Thanks,

NABCEP Wind Certification

  • Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Wed, 06/08/2011 - 12:24.
Is this a NABCEP certification for the wind training?

NABCEP Wind Certification

  • Submitted by Bana@Everblue on Wed, 08/17/2011 - 13:21.
    Thank you for your question.

NABCEP’s Wind Certification is not widely accepted at this point in time and is one of the most restrictive certifications in the clean energy industry so at this point in time our program does not support NABCEP’s Wind Certification.

    Thank you,
    Bana

However, it can be to your advantage to be familiar with the industry so you are more comfortable with terms and concepts that will be introduced in class. It may also help you build contacts and potential customers.

Hello and thank you for your question. Our Wind energy training will teach you that the majority of the work for designing and selling these systems occurs on the ground. I would say you are going to be just fine!

    Thank you,
