RESNET Combustion Safety

Become a Comprehensive Home Energy Rater!

Certified RESNET HERS Raters who participate in Combustion Appliance Zone (CAZ) Testing and Work Scope Development are eligible to become Comprehensive Home Energy Raters, or CHERS Raters. This credential is mandatory for Raters conducting combustion appliance testing or writing work scopes for repairs. This requirement extends to ENERGY STAR Version 3 homes in accordance with the HVAC System Quality Installation Rater checklist and to RESNET EnergySmart Contractor projects.

Prerequisite: RESNET HERS Rater Certification

Format: This 2-hour course is available as an on-demand webinar. This online training will prepare you for the RESNET written and the ResCaz simulation exam.

Audience: This course is ideal for certified RESNET HERS Raters who are working on ENERGY STAR Version 3 homes or EnergySmart Contractor projects.
