    We will show you step by step in our course how to register and prepare for your exam, so there is no need to do anything yet. When you complete our course, you will taking your exam at a Pearson Vue testing facility.

    Typically the GI Bill covers the cost of exams, which are included in this training. The best thing to do is ask them. If you are currently unemployed, it would also be good to email us your location and course interests at unemployed@everblue.edu. You may qualify for WIA funding.

    You have the option to do training online or in live classroom training. You will want to begin with the Solar PV associate, which you can take online or in a classroom setting. We also offer a Solar Contract Series if you wish to get advanced training.

    Students will do one of the following: they will continue on to do our Solar PV Installation course to become an installer, or they will use their entry-level certification to begin a career in the business of solar PV panels. The latter tends to offer higher pay.

    Typically you do not need a contractor license, however it is important that you check with your county's requirements for solar installation as requirements vary from location to location.

    NABCEP stands for the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners and is the most widley known standard for PV and solar thermal installation certification. NABCEP offers certification and certificate programs to renewable energy professionals throughout North America.

    Everblue currently offers training for the NABCEP entry level PV exam and for the NACBEP PV Installer exam. Everblue is a approved NABCEP exam prep provider.

Solar PV Kit

    I am a 72 year old woman on social security but have always been interested in solar power to eliminate my dependency from Edison. Do you have a "free" kit that I could work with to see if I am even capable of creating a solar unit for even the addition on my home. I have been looking for slightly damaged panels to try to implement some solar usage for my home. Even the govt grants etc are not sufficient for me to afford a full fledged install plus I am in SE Michigan which is not included in your list.

    A few things to keep in mind when you are looking at a solar system is the amount of available solar space you have avaialable..ie trees around your house and any other circmustances which would lead to potential blockage. What I would recommend is to contact a solar provider to come and do an assesment of your location to make sure that home has the proper requirements necessary for the utilization of solar aplications.This is ususally a no-fee assessment -- Ron Hardin

    Everblue can offer financial aid through the Workforce Investment Act which is available for the unemployed. If you are employed, we offer a payment plan starting with a $400 deposit. You can then make payments up until the class start date when the total is due. Call our office at 1-888-204-8735 for more information on either of these options.

    If our live daytime classes do not fit your schedule, Everblue offers an online Solar PV Bootcamp. These sessions are given as on-demand webinars along with 3 live online sessions with an instructor. The instructor is available to answer all of your questions and keep you on track with the on demand webinars. But you are still able to take this class at a time that fits your schedule.
