How it works:

2. If your state is under the WIA approved list, complete the Contact Form and an Everblue case manager will contact you to discuss your next steps in applying for WIA funding.

If your state is not yet approved, please contact your local one stop center (www.servicelocator.org) to find out what steps should be taken to enroll in an Everblue course. Even though we are not listed on the statewide Eligible Training Provider list, many states do not require vendors to be approved.

Training in Texas

It just drives me crazy that Texas won't do anything about renewable energy including getting colleges to offer courses. I've been unemployed for quite a while & would love to get training in a green field.

Thank you for your feedback. Although Texas is not listed above, please still fill out the contact form provided as you may still get approved training paid by the WIA, even if your state is not listed as an approved state.

    Thank you,
    Bana

Why no courses in Orlando, FL?

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 07/12/2011 - 10:48.
I am interested in getting a LEED-AP certificate, but haven't worked full-time in a while. I do have a background in sales and marketing and would like to know the following...

    1. If you are NOT a veteran, can you still help me find some course scholarship money to help with the cost of your courses towards a LEED certification?

    2. Will you be offering any courses in Orlando, FL? Perhaps in conjunction with a college/ university? The only school offering any on-site courses that I know of is West Side Tech via Orange Co. Schools. I would like to recommend Seminole State College as a partner school for Orlando area.

    3. Could you provide a contact name and e-mail at your corporate office who I could send my resume to? Perhaps I could help you with your enrollment efforts here in Central Florida in exchange for helping me acquire my LEED certificate. I am very familar with both the Tampa and Orlando markets and could work from home and even travel if needed between both cities. I am eager to talk to you about this idea!

    Thanks!

LEED green associate

I have already registered for this course. I have been unemployed since September 2008. I obviously need to make myself more marketable to get back into the work force. I paid the $595 by borrowing it from my sister. I was not aware that I might be eligible for reimbursemnt through the DOL. Please let me know how I may go about doing this.
